In October 2018, NursesTakeDC conducted a national survey of registered nurses nurses (RNs) in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia on staffing levels and safety concerns. The survey consisted of 28 questions and was conducted through Survey Monkey using a variety of social media outlets including Allnurses.com, Facebook nursing communities, Medscape Nurses, Show Me Your Stethoscope, and Twitter. Responses were collected between October 1, 2018 and October 31, 2018 from 9,478 registered nurses (RNs) in all 50 states plus the District of Columbia. Recently the NTDC data was utilized to compare Illinois with California and other states, in order to support the passage of a Safe Patient Limits bill in Illinois.
